Numerous are essential, which most vendors either charge for or are unable to provide due to their size and scope. Others....sheer luxury!

Laura Munro, owner of Petal & Twig, LLC, offers numerous optional rental decor items to further personalize your event (for prices, please contact Laura Munro: 228-669-9801 or laura@liveoakplantation.com). Who wouldn't love to arrive and depart James Bond-style via Live Oak Plantation's R-44 helicopter. Helicopter rides for your guests may also be arranged during events at a 'per person' rate (please inquire).

DINNER PARTIES
Live Oak is the perfect setting for seated corporate dinners, private parties, and other social events. Groups of up to 180 guests can mingle, dine, visit, and/or share cocktails before dinner under the famed Cathedral of Oaks on the plantation's Lakeside Terrace prior to seated dinners inside the Cotton House, a 5000 sq. ft. climate controlled building (maximum capacity 180 seated). COCKTAIL PARTIES
Elegant cocktail parties and receptions held on the magnificent grounds and inside the reception hall are visceral experiences. Food stations and bars set up along the veranda and underneath the Cathedral of Oaks overlooking Lake Blue Heron and Duck Island create a warm ambiance. Cocktail events are held in an open-house format and may be set up with a main buffet inside the Cotton House with accompanying chef-style stations on the veranda or along the terraced path, bringing entertaining a new level. While some seating is available, this type of function is typically a standing/seated reception, which allows for up to 220 guests to mingle more freely throughout the immediate grounds.
COTTON HOUSE RECEPTION HALL
Clients may book with certainty that their event will not be ruined by rain. Live Oak offers The Cotton House, the perfect complimentary reception hall for your entertaining plans. Dramatic gossamer drapes with white twinkle lights and customized lighting to set the mood.

AGRI-TOURISM
As a model of Florida Agri-tourism, educating the public about the agricultural industry on agricultural land, Live Oak uses three Kubota tractors and pecan harvesting and cleaning equipment produced by Savage Manufacturing Co. to demonstrate the pecan shaking, cleaning , harvesting, and sorting operation to the public each Fall when harvesting is scheduled (by appointment only). As members of numerous Pecan Growers associations, the Meeks campaign actively for pecan research and extension activities to promote the pecan industry. Four of the 25 majestic Live Oaks on the property are listed in the national "Live Oak Society."
To promote the agriculture industry and to encourage agricultural pursuits, Live Oak collaborates with Beulah Academy of Science and several FAA chapters in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties by providing an on-site demonstration farm plot with a crop-sampling field for the students to farm, including soy beans, cotton, and corn, the thee predominate local crops. The property also provides test plots for the University of Florida's turf sciences.
Lastly, a historically accurate cabin museum at Live Oak is open for public tours during events. The property contains local historical artifacts, biographies of former owners, information on the land and its historical uses, and local history. Included are stained glass doors, an early rug and a hand-made chair and stool from the George Washington Wright home, circa 1882. Wright was an early Pensacola lumber baron and namesake of Wright Street in North Hill. Antique tables and sofas belonging to Don Francisco Moreno, 1793-1885, are on display. An early Spanish Consul to Pensacola, Merino became a prominent businessman, both in Pensacola and in Spain. Known as 'The King Of Pensacola', Merino Street in historic East Hill is named for him. In observance that France was one of the five flags that once flew over Pensacola, numerous French antiques are displayed in the reception hall from the 11th, 15th, 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries A.D..
