Live Oak is a photographer's dream that draws the areas most talented photographers to create unforgettable portraits and art. We welcome the use of the picturesque grounds for the special times in your life.
Photography sessions provide access to the Lakeside Terrace, the pecan orchard and field, the rustic cabin & restroom, the Outdoor Cathedral of Oaks Grounds (antique leaded glass windows hang from ancient oak), the Avenue of Oaks, Duck Island, pier, and Lake Blue Heron.
Photography sessions are outdoor only, and therefore there shall be no access to the interior of the main home.
Photography inside Oak Hall may be added for an additional $50.00 fee.
A private dressing area is provided in the rustic cabin located near the lake for groups of 1-6.

Electricity provided.

No nude photography permitted.

Hourly or daily Live Oak photography sessions with your photographer are available by appointment when available from 9 am - dusk.
A private, gated property, Live Oak's gates remain locked at all times.
Appointments are required to assist you in selecting the best time for your photography session and to schedule Live Oak personnel to admit you and remain on-site throughout your photography session.

BRIDAL PORTRAIT AND ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS ARE COMPLIMENTARY FOR LIVE OAK BRIDES.

On dates with no scheduled events or weddings, Live Oak offers discounted photography sessions for local high school students on the afternoon of their school's prom ($10.00 per student).
NOTE: Prom, Homecoming, and wedding seasons overlap. Please inquire!
All students participating in the Live Oak prom photography session must register with Live Oak no later than one week prior to the prom.
A Live Oak staff member will be present to collect $10. per student photography fee

Location fees for advertisement, commercial productions, motion pictures fashion, & catalog photography are negotiated on an individual basis.
For photography or licensing of Live Oak images or trademarks, please contact Donna Meeks. All filming must be scheduled prior to arrival and is based on availability.
All crews must work around our daily tours and our events, but Live Oak Plantation will try to accommodate our film crews, whenever possible.
